The Queensboro Bridge

The Queensboro Bridge will be named for former NYC Mayor Edward Koch.   The current Mayor , soon to be presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg will ask the City Council to rename the 101-year-old bridge in honor of Edward Koch. The trend in New York is to name all of its bridges and tunnels for former politicians.  The Brooklyn Battery tunnel is now the “Gov. Hugh Carey Battery Tunnel.”  The Triboro Bridge was renamed the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge.

Apparently some of these college students weren’t receiving enough financial aid from their parents.  What I want to see is how these businessmen will translate their expertise in the drug business into their future careers.  Maybe now their parents will contribute enough financial aid to extricate these alleged delinquents from serving any prison time.  Their records will be cleared and their careers will be rescued.

A classified memo sent by Mrs. Clinton last December made it clear that residents of Saudi Arabia and its neighbors, all allies of the United States, are the chief financial supporters of many extremist activities. “It has been an ongoing challenge to persuade Saudi officials to treat terrorist financing emanating from Saudi Arabia as a strategic priority,” the cable said, concluding that “donors in Saudi Arabia constitute the most significant source of funding to Sunni terrorist groups worldwide.”” NYT2010/12/06
